If this is your first Bali trip, keep the route simple. Spend one day in Ubud for culture and waterfalls, one day around Uluwatu for beaches and sunset, and one day for Nusa Penida or a slower South Bali activity.
Day 1: Ubud culture and nature
Start early from your hotel, visit a temple, continue to Tegallalang or Jatiluwih rice terraces, then choose one waterfall stop. This keeps the day varied without spending all your time in traffic.
Day 2: Uluwatu sunset
Use the afternoon for Melasti, Padang Padang, or another beach stop before Uluwatu Temple and the Kecak fire dance. Add Jimbaran dinner only if you want a longer evening.
Day 3: Nusa Penida or flexible Bali day
Nusa Penida is best as a full-day plan with clear boat timing. If you prefer an easier day, choose a private driver route based on your hotel area and interests.
